Cel means sky or heaven in Catalan, a short version of my full name Cèlia.
About
Barcelona based multimedia designer, with a focus on illustration and graphic design. My work involves story-telling through graphics, creating visual identities and experiences (and creating zines in my free time.
Career
In 2017, I started university at UPC, majoring in Multimedia Design, where I learned the basic tools I would later use in the start of my design career. Video game design was also a significant part of my program, allowing me to experiment with adding interaction and movement to my designs.
In 2021, I graduated and landed an internship as a content designer at a consulting company. I created all kinds of informative videos, gaining experience in motion graphics using After Effects. It was also my first time working with WordPress, where I helped redesign the company's website. As part of the redesign, I also created a new logo for the company's sports events division.
In 2023, I decided I needed a more creative approach to my design career. Since I've always been interested in drawing, I wanted to incorporate illustration into my design process. I enrolled in a postgraduate program in Digital Illustration and New Media at BAU, University of Arts and Design, which helped me develop a portfolio that better reflected my style and vision. It provided an environment where creativity was encouraged and valued, allowing my ideas to flow freely.
In 2024, after graduating, I started working as a freelance illustrator, graphic and web designer.
